Shipping and Delivery Information

Please take the time to review our Shipping & Returns Policy. When you use, order, or buy from www.thesmartdivorce.com or direct from Deborah Moskovitch (c.o.b. The Smart Divorce), you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to the Shipping & Returns Policy terms and conditions mentioned herein.

Shipping Policy

You can trust that your order will be quickly processed and safely delivered.

We can ship products anywhere in North America or Internationally using the most cost effective delivery method. When you place an order we will estimate delivery dates based upon the availability of your item(s), shipping method selected and your shipment’s destination.

Items in stock will typically ship out in 2-3 business days.

We do not:

– Insure shipments.

– Require signature of delivery conformation for any shipments.

– Apply handling charges to your order.

– Ship to PO Boxes, APO/FAO boxes.

Shipping Charges

Our shipping charges are in Canadian dollars, and are determined by the weight of your order and shipping method selected, excluding applicable sales tax.

Canada

We ship from Toronto, Ontario and most Canadian orders will arrive via Canada Post in 3-7 business days. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday; weekend and holiday deliveries are excluded. An additional charge will be applied to your order when it is confirmed noting all applicable combined federal and provincial sales tax rates have 13% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) added to all orders.

United States

We ship from Toronto, Ontario and most US orders to arrive via Canada Post in 7-14 business days. US orders do not include handling, duty and brokerage fees; the additional costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

International Orders

Currently, The Smart Divorce is able to ship books and CDs, and DVDs to most international addresses (see restrictions below).

Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. Any customs or duty charges are always the responsibility of the recipient.

Please also note that, for your protection, any order valued at CDN$700 or more will be sent via a trackable method.

Some products cannot be shipped to international destinations so please submit a message to us from the Contact Us http://thesmartdivorce.com/contact/ page if you would like to discuss international ordering options.

Product Availability

We make every effort to display the most current and accurate product inventory information. We will notify you directly in the event that a product’s availability date changes. Please contact info@thesmartdivorce.com for additional information.

 Pricing Policy

All prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to any applicable taxes according to provincial and local laws. Availability, prices and delivery rates are subject to change. There may be errors in the prices, descriptions or images of certain merchandise, and we must reserve the right to restrict orders of those items.

 Payment Methods Accepted

For online purchases we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.  All online orders are processed through PayPal where we are an authorized merchant. All prices and figures are listed in Canadian dollars.

We apologize for any inconvenience if you are not a card carrying member of these entities. For direct purchases from The Smart Divorce when we are Mobile, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover via our Square Card Reader. Please see details at Secure Shopping.

You represent and warrant that if You are purchasing something from Deborah Moskovitch (c.o.b. The Smart Divorce) or from Merchants that: (i) any credit information You supply is true and complete; (ii) charges incurred by You will be honored by Your credit card company; and (iii) You will pay the charges incurred by You at the posted prices, including any applicable taxes, shipping, or related charges to Your purchase.

Information Security

We have instituted reasonable safeguards to help ensure that information collected is secure. We also take reasonable steps to ensure that third parties who work with us, namely PayPal, available to you agree to protect personal information that they must access in order to serve you and to honor your preferences about contacts you receive.

When you send or otherwise transmit your sensitive information (such as your credit card number) to or though the PayPal, your sensitive information is encrypted and protected with SSL, the current industry-standard encryption protocol. RETURN, EXCHANGE POLICY, CANCELLATIONS

Our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase.

Return Policy

If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, you can return your items for a prompt refund or exchange. Refunds for items returned within 15 of the purchase date will be credited in the full amount (excluding shipping charges) and the same form as the original payment type. Shipping is not refunded.

In case following conditions are not met thesmartdivorce.com reserves the right to charge 15% restocking fee or refuse the return.

– the items must be returned for refund or exchange within 15 days of original purchase

– items and packaging must be received in new condition

– the original manufacture’s packaging must not be damaged

– items that have been removed from their plastic wrap cannot be returned unless they are deemed to be defective.

– packaging must include all original items, manuals etc.

Orders Damaged in Shipping

We take all necessary precautions to package our products properly. However, accidents sometimes happen in the course of shipping. If your product(s) are damaged or broken, please contact us immediately via phone at 905.695.0270.

Items That Are Not Returnable

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of certain items, including:

– Downloadable Products.

– Any product missing the serial number or UPC.

– Items purchased from sellers other than www.thesmartdivorce.com or direct from Deborah Moskovitch or The Smart Divorce.

– Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts.

– Any product that appears to be used, copied, or reproduced in any fashion.

– Any item returned after 15 days from the shipping date (online purchases) or purchase date (direct purchases).

– Return orders where any item in the original order has not been returned with the order.

– Discounted or pre-released items.

– Large or custom orders.

 Orders Outside of Canada

Please note that when you purchase from The Smart Divorce, the US Postal Service is the customs broker to act as your agent with the United States Services Agency.  No refund or reshipments will be given for items that are seized at your local customs office

Cancellations

If you would like to cancel your order, you can do so provided that the order has not yet been shipped. If the item you want to cancel has been shipped, the order cannot be canceled. Cancel your order by calling Deborah Moskovitch at 905.695.0270.
